The MockUpinator script creates a die-cut line in seconds within Adobe Illustrator. It's easy to use and provides some additional customizable features with a graphical user interface to help you get your packaging done efficiently. Even though a die-cut line created with the Mockapinator should be seen as a mock-up and not as a technically engineered die-cut, it can significantly improve your workflow.
When you run the MockUpinator script a dialogue box will appear.
Units: choose between millimetres, centimetres and inches.
Size: enter parameters of your box Length/Width/Height
New or current document: Choose if you want to create a new document or a new artboard in the current document
You can adjust the size of the glue flap, the top tuck flap and the dust flap. An empty field will create the flaps with default sizes.
Bottom closings: Choose between Straight Tuck End, Reverse Tuck End and Snap-Lock.
Bleed: add bleed size (an empty field will use the default size of 2mm), choose the bleed as a path or as a guideline or both.
You also have an option to create faces, if you want to work with clipping masks for example.
Extras: you can add the flap lock, the infobox and dimension lines.
You can save your preferences for future use or reset them.
